Procurement of Furniture for Early Childhood Development Centers
Notification of intention of Award
The tender of the above procurement published on National News Papers for request bids for 1500 sets of furniture for kids on 09.05.2017 with the subsequent change the tender opened on 12.06.2017. Eleven (11) tenders received, at the tender opening.
From eleven respondents, the TEC decided to evaluate lowest price quoted first 6 tenders, accordingly The Technical Evaluation Committee obtained various technical clarifications by reviewing the documents, and samples provided by the bidders and finalised the following.

From 2016 to 2019, Early Childhood Development Project carried out the following project activities in 7 regions of the Plantation Sector for new and existing CDCs:
- Furniture and educational play materials for New CDCs and Renovated, totaling in 172 numbers.
- Outdoor play equipment for new CDCs, new play areas and renovated play areas – total of 341.
